Why is poverty a problem to population in Nigeria?
Poverty in Nigeria has been a problem to population for the past 20 years. Poverty leads to lack of education of health care and education. When the children have low education they have fewer job prospects and more minimal wage jobs. When the families are working in low wage jobs, they can't get the right means of nutrition. The result of poor nutrition is higher rates of mortality for mothers and children. The children that survive are weaker and their brains are less developed due to lack of nutrition . Since the children are weaker and less developed there ability to work and learn is reduced. Without good education the children have few job opportunities besides from manual labor and subsidize farming. The people who choose subsidize are more likely to have a lot of children to help with the labor and without good health care and education, this cycle is very likely to happen to the next generation.
